Life With Two

So I always thought one kid was a lot of work. Boy was I wrong! One kid was a piece of cake. Which I know now that I have two. The hardest part is that there is never "down time." I feel as if one of them is always awake. Yes, even at night! And it's amazing how much trouble an almost 4 year old can get into when I turn my back for a second. Here are some of the things I find myself saying on a daily basis:
"Kate, get off your sister"
"Kate, stop trying to color on your sister"
"Kate, stop squirting all the soap out" (she has an obsession with the soap dispenser)
"Kate, can you stop talking for 2 seconds so Mommy can think"
"Kate, stop changing your clothes, I have enough laundry to do already" (she loves to change her outfits multiple times a day)
.....and on and on and on it goes. But with my two little trouble makers, I get twice the love, twice the kisses, twice the cuddling time, twice the laughter and twice the smiles!!

Disneyland and CA

One of the best things about being a parent, is to be able to take your kids somewhere they absolutely love! And for Kate, that would be Disneyland. She just can't get enough of the princesses and It's a Small World. Tess even went on her very first rides at Disneyland---the train and It's a Small World.

We also spent a few days at my parents with all the grandkids!!! We are up to 6 now. The time there just never seems long enough. Can't wait to go back again. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

Happy Easter

We had such a great Easter this year! Nate had the day off and we were able to go to church together followed by lunch with good friends. On Saturday we went to an egg hunt at a friend's house. There were tons of kids and they all had so much fun! It was fun to watch them search high and low for the eggs and smack the pinata. I think Easter may be my new favorite holiday! As Kate says Easter is about "Jesus died on the cross for us, and then he stood up and He wasn't dead anymore." Thank you Jesus for your love for us!

Let's Try This Again

Okay, okay, so I am going to try this blogging thing again. Yesterday I was looking back at our blog posts and I realized how nice it was to be able to go back and see what we have been up to. For some reason, I have a horrible memory. I mean HORRIBLE! So hopefully blogging will help me remember things.

So it's been a really, really long time since I last posted and things have happened here and there. But the biggest, most important thing is the newest Clay. Tess Imani (means faith in Swahili) was born on February 7, 2011. She weighed 6 lbs 6 oz. She is our cute little red head!
